Arthur Mooneyhan
My name is Arthur H. Mooneyhan. I am retired from the California Department of Corrections. I am also a self-published author pastor, evangelist, and a PPR (professional pickleball registry) certified instructor. On this website you can view my book information with a genre primarily targeting our criminal justice, military and first responding professionals and their families, along with my additional offerings.
Due to my unique and diverse background my published book has helped many navigate their way through their stress infused and difficult work and home life. During my correctional tenure of thirty years I worked about every assignment offered in a custody position, twenty five years as a correctional sergeant, primary negotiator for our special emergency response team, and our EPTC team of (employee post trauma counselors). God used my special gifts and training to assist numerous staff, inmates and their families traverse through the worst of disorders both in the facility and on the street. I served as a youth pastor, young adult leader, evangelism training instructor, public speaker, missions near and international in many foreign countries, as well as serving the pastor’s duty of our celebrate recovery ministries.
God has blessed me with a strong conviction to care for others and given the opportunity, attempt to make a positive difference in people’s lives. It brings me such immense joy and satisfaction to witness individuals and their families find hope and healing, strength and restoration of personal dignity.
Regarding the Website Title: moonerppp.com – I started with the Department of Corrections as just a young man. During my first assignment I was carpooling with a large group of seasoned correctional officers. One night on the way home after our shift one of my peers mentioned that my name “Mooneyhan” was too long and he would have to find me a nickname. One of the other fellas yelled out “mooner”. Everyone laughed and the name stuck. What was I going to say, I was just the new young rookie!
Additional details about the author:
For twenty five of my thirty year career I was a correctional sergeant. I enjoyed a sergeant’s position because I am a “people person” and loved being directly in the mix with staff and the inmate population. During my correctional tenure as an ordained pastor and evangelist, I served the church in numerous capacities both locally and internationally. I earned both of his Biblical Studies degrees at Calvary Christian International Bible College. I have been married to my lovely wife Judy for more than 40 years, and together we have three grown children, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Although a California native for many years we now reside in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
